Check-in is available from 3:00 PM onwards, and check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. Please note that the hostel is closed to visitors between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM for cleaning. If you arrive early or need to leave later, we offer free luggage storage on your check-in and check-out day — just leave your bags at the front desk and explore the city.

There is no curfew — you are free to come and go at any hour. However, please note that between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, only elevator No. 3 stops at our floor (15F). The other elevators serve the shopping centre below and are not in operation during those hours. We ask that all late arrivals be mindful of other guests.

Yes. Free luggage storage is available on your check-in and check-out day, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Simply drop your bags at the front desk and head out to enjoy Taichung. If you need storage outside of your stay dates, please contact us in advance to check availability.

Yes, cancellations and modifications are accepted, but fees may apply depending on timing. Cancelling or modifying 4 or more days before check-in is free of charge. Cancelling or modifying within 3 days of check-in incurs a fee equal to the first night's room rate. For bookings made on our official website, please email us directly. For bookings through third-party platforms, contact that platform's customer support.

Yes. During peak season dates and every Saturday, a minimum 2-night stay of the same room type is required. If you only need one night on a Saturday, bookings open the preceding Monday at 12:00 PM (noon). Peak season dates for 2026 include Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, and New Year's Eve, among others. Please check our website for the full updated list.

Yes, breakfast is included in all standard room rates. We serve a homemade breakfast — including a mixed plate, rice porridge, and freshly brewed coffee and tea — from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. An early-bird option with toast and assorted jams is available from 6:30 to 8:00 AM. A room-only (no breakfast) option was available from January to March 2026; please check the booking page for current availability.

All shared shower rooms are stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Hair dryers are also available. Bath towels can be rented at the front desk, and toothbrushes and toothpaste are available for purchase on-site. Common areas are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, hot and cold drinking water, and Taiwanese snacks, with utensils provided for your convenience.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel, including in all rooms and common areas. Power outlets are available in the common area. If you need the Wi-Fi password or have connection issues, please ask a member of staff at the front desk.

Each dormitory bed comes with a dedicated shoe locker. For larger valuables, we recommend using the secure storage at the front desk. Please ask our staff for assistance — we're available 24 hours a day.

Yes. Parking is available in the shared Parklane shopping centre car park on floors 4F to 11F. Guests receive a discounted parking rate of NT$250 per night (from check-in until noon the following day), with unlimited entry and exit during that period. To register for the discount and settle the parking fee, please visit the front desk before leaving.

Star Hostel Taichung Parklane is located on the 15th floor of the Parklane (勤美誠品) building, at No. 68, Gongyi Road, West District, Taichung. From Taichung Train Station, the journey takes approximately 10–15 minutes by taxi or bus. We also offer an exclusive shuttle service — please check the Access page on our website or ask at the front desk for details and schedules.

Yes. You are welcome to continue using our common area and tatami lounge even after checking out. Whether you want to rest, work, or simply enjoy the view over Taichung's skyline before heading off, you are always welcome to stay a little longer.

• Guest Guidelines:

  In-house guests are welcome to freely use the rooftop terrace. However, during Star Café’s peak operating hours, certain areas may be prioritized and reserved for bar guests with reservations.

Access Policy:
The rooftop terrace is not open for general visits. Non-guests are welcome to visit Star Café, with a minimum charge of NT$300 per person.
