Star Hostel's 2019 groundbreaking project, located on the top floor with a panoramic view of the city skyline, incorporates the concept of and greenhouse design, coexisting harmoniously with nature. Integrated with Bookstore and a shopping mall, it forms a vertical living community welcoming global travelers to experience the charm of Taichung, the Garden City.
Starting from the space where travelers reside, it returns to the essence of travel and life.
It's not just a place to stay but a place of inspiration to reconnect with people, nature, and sustainable living.
Space & Design
Continuing the concept of a vertical urban garden, we embrace the imagery of a greenhouse structure, where plants climb and intertwine, bringing green scenery inside. Both nature and people are our guests.The expansive communal area with floor-to-ceiling glass windows offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. We've chosen sustainable materials like cedar wood, which shows a rustic yet very simple ambiance.
All the materials featuring in our hostel have been chosen for their sustainable potential and regenerative qualities. While you're in the heart of the city, it feels as if you're being hugged by Mother Nature, experiencing the appeasing atmosphere of our urban hostel.

Plants create a soothing atmosphere to help guests relax and enjoy their travel moments. The common area will perfectly suit people wishing to work on their laptop or to read as a great amount of light penetrates the room all day thanks to the full-height windows.
Power outlets are located under the seats and on the walls. Free WiFi is available everywhere.

Take a deep breath looking at the liveliness of the city from above, relax looking at the beauty of sunrise and sunset and enjoy the soothing atmosphere of soft cushions through the day.

Starting from 8:00 to 10:00 AM breakfast is served. We offer homemade breakfast with mixed plate, rice porridge, and freshly brewed coffee and tea.
Early-bird breakfast is also available between 6:30-8:00 AM, providing toasts and a variety of jams and spreads.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE STATION
Provide our guests with access to a refrigerator, oven, microwave, cold/ hot drinking water and Taiwanese snacks. For an even more convenient stay, ustensils are let at disposal.

DRIVING TO
Parking Information
▾ The parking lot is shared with Eslite Lane Park Shopping Complex, and is
accessible from the 4th to the 11th floors. The entrance is located at Lane 311,Section 2 of Taiwan Boulevard.
▾ Please take elevators 1, 2, or 3 to reach the 15th floor, Star Hostel.
▾ Parking fee discount: $250 NT/ day. (Valid from check-in until noon the following day. Please arrange payment at the front desk during check-in.)
Parking Instructions
▾ Payment: Please register and make payment at the 15th-floor front desk.
▾ Payment Machine: If you plan to exit the parking area after noon (12:00 PM),
make sure to use the payment machine. Enter your vehicle number to exit.
Payment machines are located next to elevators [4] and [5] on floors 4 to 11.
▾ Tesla Charging Instructions: - To use the Tesla charging station on B3, please
register at the security office on the 1st floor. You can charge for up to 1.5 hours.

Bus
▾ Taichung City Bus:
Use your EasyCard or All-in-One Card to get on and off the bus and swipe your card.
▾ Stop: Caowu Road (Citizen Square) :
Take bus 11, 27, 81, 107, 365, and walk for 2 minutes.
Ubike
▾ Taichung Ubike: The first 30 minutes are free.
▾ There are 2 bicycle parking spaces at the Civic Square opposite.
High Speed Rail Taichung Station ⇁Cao Wudao (Citizen Square)
▾ Take [Bus 365] from Exit 6 of Taichung High Speed Rail Station (bus bound for downtown Taichung) on Bus Platform 11. The journey takes about 40 minutes and get off at [Cao Wudao (Citizen Square)]. Opposite is Qinmei Eslite Green Park Road.
Taichung MRT
▾ Take the Taichung MRT to [City Hall Station - Exit 1], transfer from the Taiwan Avenue bus lane to [Bus Route 300-310] towards Taichung Station, get off at [Science and Technology Museum Station], turn right and walk along the grass Enlightenment can be reached by walking to Gongyi Road.
